Dipped beam headlamps on V-Strom 250
« on: October 01, 2020, 08:21:25 »
Hello,
After a week as the owner of my V-Strom 250, just to take care of myself, I no longer have a dipped beam headlamps. I thought it was the lamp that had burned out, but the full headlight position works and the code filament is not broken. So I replace my lamp to be there, and naturally still no code :-D
I checked the fuses, everything is OK. I was thinking of the headlight button? Bad contact? An idea or an experience to share?
Thank you and have a nice day!

Have you checked the flash to pass switch and if something is perhaps activating it? I recall reading of someone with a DL650 who fitted aftermarket handguards, which somehow during the install was pressing against the flash to pass switch, leaving the bright lights on.
If you have a wiring diagram, you can trace the wire colour.

I have no continuity between the light button and the terminal of the white wire of the lamp. I don't have an electrical diagram, and the wire that goes back to the right of the tank seems to go to two relays, but without a diagram ... The bike is original ...
