Changing between KPH to MPH vstrom 2013
« on: April 26, 2020, 13:30:07 »
Can anyone explain how to set the meter to odometer ?. Even with the owners manual I can not do . All I can get is to change the clock or move between clock and temp. There must be  a special trick to get the trip meter on . I have located the adjust button and meter select switch on left handlebar. What next. Save me the embarrasment of getting my teenager to do it in about 10 seconds . Thanks

From memory I think you put the odo to total miles/km and hold down the adjust button for a few seconds. that reminds me I must change the clock on mine to summer time.

Turn the ignition on. If kph is showing then press the ADJUST button on the dash and hold it down for at least 2 seconds. It will change to mph and miles on the odometer.
So how's it going so far then?

The miles/kilometres showing on the dash must be the total, not one of the trip readings. Then as stated press the adjust button for 2 seconds.

I can confirm it's the same for the L8 1000 as stated above.
In my defence, she did leave me unsupervised.

Thanks yes it did work! Not sure how but I'm now fleeing along imperially not metrically and it feels good. I also got my panniers on and soon to get my bars raised and back a bit thanks to your tips.
