Hi just bought a vstrom 1000 it came with 1 key need a spare best place to get1 around leeds area

Would it have electronic disable remote contact by any chance? If so sounds like Suzuki only, unless someone else can say differently.

Suzuki Dealer only.

It will need to be cut to fit the ignition, then coded into the ECU.

Some think you can give the dealers the key code and they can magic one out of their arse, but using the key code is correct, it'll take 6-10 weeks to be cut and shipped from Japan then still need to be coded into the ECU by the dealer.
Oh and be over £100 for the key where a black will be £30 and £2.5 to get cut.

Might be too late but I'd like to know why you only got the one key........ Perhaps he/they knew and you didn't?

Can you get back to him/them and ask?

If only one owner you should get 'history' on the second key.
