Intermittent operation of indicators
« on: March 04, 2019, 14:50:11 »
Hello on a wet ride yesterday noticed that the indicators worked intermittently and the lh indicator light on the dash was dimly lit constantly, other times worked OK for a period of time any ideas please? Apologies 2015 DL1000 8,500 miles.

They're supposed to flash...

Joking aside, it sounds like you have a dodgy connector to the LH switchgear. Follow the cable to the plug and check the state of the terminals. Check the flash relay too for being plugged in correctly.

Had a similar problem last year, right faff, changed everything practically stripped the bike down to try and find the fault. Odd thing was that they worked perfectly with the seat off but not with it on.
Turned out the wire for the rear left indicator had chaffed on the seat unlock cable(its got a bit of metal encasing the last few inches to protect the bend) and it had rubbed the wire enough to short it!
Good Luck

Had similar on my previous Versys which turned out to be the ignition barrel at fault. All done under warranty luckily. Fingers crossed its not same in your case.
