Cost cutting?

I was idly looking at the new 18/19 model 650 and noticed there appears to be no pre-load adjustment on the front suspension. I may be wrong. If true does it make much difference.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Looking at the Suzuki web site, no it doesn't. Cheap buggers! If the forks are otherwise unchanged you could fit some adjusters off an earlier Wee.

Gentlemen, I fear you are missing the obvious.

Suzuki, like Colin Chapman before them have engineered in lightness and simplicity.

Frankly I am disappointed and frankly outraged at your collective inability to recognise the continuing evolution. ###
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Replacing the beak with something shorter and flatter with less plastic in would be a good cost reduction idea.

Yes, and once they save enough weight, they can give us back the missing headlight.

Looks like it's time to go old school. You need about 30p worth of 2p pieces stacked on top of each fork spring. Simply add or subtract coinage until the preload is correct. Fork preload for around 60p! Please note: don't try to do both fork legs at the same time, for obvious reasons.
