risers on a late 2015 v-strom

Hello all I have read all the posts on fitting 25mm risers to my late 2015 v-strom everyone says they will fit but I have a problem with the throttle cables being too short, if I could lower the cables where they exit the throttle grip I might be able to manage it but the hand guard and its location bolt is in the way has anybody found a solution to this perhaps a mod to the hand guard ? if anyone has perhaps they could tell me how they got over it please.

I had 25mm risers on my 2017 vee. Cables are a little tight but managable. Suzuki don't give you much play in any of the cables or hoses, but I did manage to get a little extra from where they all disappear under the tank.

I have a 65 plate 650 V Strom and have inserted 25mm risers with no issues.

Thanks blokes and for the photos But my throttle cables have no play at all on full lock so I guess I will have to do as suggested and have a look under the tank to see if there is any slack under there

Hi Bako, are the throttle cables clamped /fixed to the frame under the tank ?

Hello All, does anybody know if the throttle cables on a late 2015 650 V-strom are tied or fixed to the frame under the tank ? I do not want to take the tank off unless I have to, to install 25mm risers, my throttle cables have 3mm slack on full lock.
