Long Shot, but anyone fancy a KTM 1090 Adventure (Cheap)
« on: November 04, 2018, 07:55:29 »
Just a bit of a punt really, I have ordered a new KTM1290R for delivery on the 2nd January and due to KTM having discounts on new ones and the time of year the PX is pretty low.

I did consider keeping it as a year round commuter, but it is too new / shiny for that and another strom would serve me better - although I have used it a bit for summer commuting and it will easily manage 55mpg, the Mrs has got over 60mpg on days cruising though French Countryside and with a 23L tank it will easily do 250 miles on a tank.

What I have is a very clean KTM Adventure 1090S:-

* Early 2017 (66 Plate - Warranty until Feb 2019)
* 8100 Miles (May go up a few hundred more between now and sale / px time)
* FDSH but is due a service in February (£250 - £300 service at main dealer prices)
* Front tyre just fitted
* Fairly worn tyre on rear, but I have a spare almost new one to swap back (put new rear on for the Mrs to use on a trip abroad then re-fitted original to square of riding to work)

The good bits:

* KTM Panniers (works with ignition key / No horrible external cage required) (£870 New)
* Pannier Inner Bags (£50 from E-Bay)
* Givi Top Box Mount (£60)
* Power Socket (Under £10 for official KTM one, but bastard things to fit)
* Centre Stand (£175)
* Sat-Nav Mount (60)
* Puig Touring Screen (£90) Plus standard one

Would take £6500 for it, might also consider a cheap V-Strom 650 in Part exchange, anything from 2009 onwards depending on mileage / condition.

I do also have KTM crash bars and KTM Rad Guard on it right now, but they cost £280 / £60 and I want to put them on my 1190 so would need an extra £250 to leave them on.

I might would also take £6200 if someone did not want the panniers as I can also move them over to my 1190.

That is indeed a very attractive price. KTM do this every year it would seem, dealers are advertising brand new 1090's at £8999 for the S and £9999 for the R. Yours really is a bargain.

As Wurzel mentioned, pictures sell 'bikes. :thumb:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Currently not for sale.

I might be doing a bit of a swapsy, or hanging on to it a while longer (I.e. until the new one turns up) will probably throw up a new add with pictures if and when that happens.
