Motoblatt Battery MBTX12U
« on: August 30, 2018, 11:12:29 »
I am just wondering if anyone can help.

Is this a suitable battery for a Glee AL4

I am in need of a new battery and a friend has offered me a Motoblatt one that he was going to use for his SV. I have had a look around online and I am struggling to find anywhere which says it is compatible with my bike. He is adamant that it will be fine. I am due to head down to Italy this weekend and I don't want it to fail on half way there.

Many thanks

It will be compatible - have look at your current battery, its probably a yuasa ytx BS 12 or very similar?

There is a table which shows what the Motobatt MBTX12U replaces HERE

I admit to being a bit personally prejudiced against Motobatts as one failed on me, but it could happen to any battery!  Just make sure it has the same terminals/posts, is the right size etc.? Why doesn't he want it?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have the Yuasa.

He bought a street triple and it does not fit, so it does sounds like a legitimate reason.

my Motoblur failed after a couple of months non use. Would charge even with a conditioner. Shame as I liked its bright yellow case.  Got a gel battery from M&P for a good price and no issues so far in 13000 miles across America.
