New Battery after 4 months and 5000kms
« on: September 29, 2018, 16:54:07 »
I got back from a 4 hour ride back from Germany a couple of weeks back and the bikes been in the garage ever since. Went out to go for a run yesterday and there was just a clicking when pressing the starter.
We checked the bike with a meter and there was only 9.5 volts.
Went to my dealer this morning and all credit to them, gave me a replacement battery, no arguments or problems. Bike is only 4 months old. New battery charged and installed and the bike started first time. Anyone else had this problem or was I just unlucky.

I'd say unlucky. It's not uncommon to have a bad battery.

The lad I bought my 2017 650 from had to get a new battery after a few months of his ownership from new. No trouble since then.

Thanks. I’ll just put it down to bad luck
