Benelli trk 502....
« on: September 02, 2018, 15:44:11 »
Today while riding around the Italian/Swiss borders enjoying the roads, views and ridiculously expensive polenta "as you do",  I've spotted many vstroms, too many to post on here.

However, I did spot this little beauty , A Benelli trk 502....
Because of its size from a distance I thought it was a BMW (it's as big !) but upon closer inspection I discovered I was entirely wrong . Build quality was questionable (see frame photo) , so was the beak but the rest was rather pretty.
I Didn't have the pleasure or hearing it running but with a 500cc engine I can imagine it sounds quite weak with little power and it looks like a bike pretending to be something it's not.

Still quite liked it though ...

That's an understatement. That beak would knock pedestrians over from 20 feet.

The beak looks like it is trying too hard to be a multistrada!

You would have to be brave or stupid to risk your hard earned on one of those!

There are some positive reviews on HUBB etc. It's light with decent suspension and the spec is real world rather than aimed at the tin-box Charlies (silly beak aside) . As it's Chinese, hopefully a lead in for some usable bikes as an alternative to thousand kilo Starbucks door stops.
