For all you scenery addicts
« on: September 05, 2018, 16:53:57 »
Hello all,
Myself and miss kwackboy have been pottering around the Italian/swiss Alps for a few weeks, our base is baveno, lago Maggiore, Italy.

For all you scenery addicts like myself here are just a few photos of our travels.
Unfortunately I've had to reduce the photo size to upload them on here and I've also got some GoPro footage of a few passes we rode. Once I've edited and uploaded to YouTube I shall share them also.

Enjoy ..  :thumb:

Stunning.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

We are still here .. ????. Sadly we arrive home Sunday..????.

We haven't been able to ride as much as we liked as miss kwackboy is still recovering from a broken wrist so we have been doing lots of sight seeing around our area as there is so much to see .
One of our days we managed to take in 4 passes on and around the Swiss border covering 220 miles but the missus suffered a little.  :groan:

Here are some more pictures. The last one was a in a Luxembourg petrol station waiting for fuel with lots of others as the fuel here is around 20p per Litre cheaper than anywhere else .

We stayed in Stresa a few years ago for a week. Is that the cable car at Stresa in your photo? It was not working when we were there. There is a great mountain railway trip which runs from Domodosolla to Locarno. You have to make sure you take the train with a panoramic roof though. You get a couple of hours to have a wander around Locarno before heading back. A very relaxing day out.
We also did a day out to visit the Moto Guzzi factory at Mandello del Lario on lake Como.

Yes , it's the second part of the cable car ride from stressa however, we didn't use it as it's rather an interesting ride to the top.

Fed up with anti motorcycle legislation ??.
Then get off your backside and join the Motorcycle Action Group. Protect your right to ride.

Great photos... I think I stood in the very same spot and photographed the lovely town of Airolo too (pic 3) back in June. You can't beat Euro bike holiday.

Wow, just wow. I'm not long back from Oz and NZ and that's as good as anything I saw over there.
