Smart brake module
« on: April 05, 2018, 22:53:29 »
Has anyone any experience with the smart brake module by a company called st2. It activates your brake light when you're slowing down using engine braking. Have had a few mates moaning that they've overcooked it a bit when they're behind me due to me using engine braking :)

Or dab the rear brake? That lights it up too for free...

Yes, tell them to ride properly. Also sounds like they're too close to you as well. So save your money....

Apart from echoing that your friends are riding too close/not paying attention, have a look here:

Is that the same thing? I thought that other unit was to make the brake lights flash if your braking exceeded a certain G threshold. Not sure it would work just under engine braking.

Maybe not but if the engine braking is severe enough to make other bikes following 'overcook' it then I'm expecting enough G's to trigger it...

I thought about it once, then realised how annoying driver constantly dabbing their brakes are. And chances are that's how it would look like.
