Suzuki Heated Grips?
« on: February 28, 2018, 21:46:44 »
As you know the new Vs can have Suzuki heated grips fitted, this led me to thinking if the newer bike actually has a wiring harness plug\ socket built in (and presumably fused)?

Anyone had the Suzuki heated grips fitted, can confirm if they hook into the harness or are wired directly the battery?
In my defence, she did leave me unsupervised.

I have Suzuki heated grips fitted to my 2015 DL1000 and to be honest do not think too much of them, The Oxford grips I had fitted to my Wee were much better, I now use Keis heated inner gloves and in this freezing weather my hands say nice and warm all over.

However you find a place to hook them up, go with another brand of heated grip. Suzuki grips are among the worst and the most expensive.

Oh yes, I know the Suzuki grips suck, but I’m interested in how they hook into the wiring- is there a specific plug that Suzuki put in the harness, because if there is that might be useful for other things?

On the K9 the plug is just behind the radiator and I use it to trigger the relay that fires up everything else including hot grips.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.

The new ones are different from the K series.
