« on: November 26, 2017, 18:40:59 »
Hi all,my new 1000 XT is basically standard, apart from Oxford heated grips & a Givi Sat Nav mounting bar behind the stock screen. Looking help choosing my next accessories. Would like to fit a centre stand, good engine bars & spotlights & toying with fitting Givi pannier brackets & E22 panniers. In what order would you blokes fit my list of accessories & any advice on where to buy would be much appreciated.

I guess it would be  the main stand, crash bars, a topbox and a hugger as back end gets dirty on country roads. Suzuki sell it all but the hugger but I'd buy givi bars or the like as there cheaper unless you can pick up a ebay bargain.  I just use soft panniers with a home made support for my one long tour a year.

I wouldn't waste your time with any of the Givi pannier racks, they all require drilling out some holes to 12mm.
I'm not sure if other brands are the same but I think soft panniers would be a better way to go.

Givi do a nice hugger (MG3114) that keeps the original chain guard in place, they also have the RM01 and RM02 spray/splash guards.

Hugger and centre stand would be my first extras, both useful at this time of year, crash bars too if you can do at the same time..
Lights are a good safety feature too, they definitely get you seen in mirrors when filtering.
