Rekluse Auto Clutch Install
« on: October 21, 2017, 16:21:49 »
Had a long 3 day ride with the blokes and couldn’t pull the clutch lever after due to my carpal tunnel...

So going to install the Rekluse auto clutch next week, hopefully turning up in the post on Tuesday.

Had one on my Gas Gas EC 200 and loved it.

If anyone interested I can post pictures p, let me know...

I had not heard of that. It took some investigation to discover it is a replacement clutch pack the turns the stock clutch into a centrifugal clutch between idle and off idle. The plates only engage the basket at speeds higher than idle. I'd be interested in finding out how well it works.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

A lot of blokes used them in enduros when I was racing, both on 4 strokes and smokers. They never appealed to me. The main selling point in this application was that no matter how wrong you got the gear the engine would never stall. Maybe if I'd used them I might have actually won something  :)

If you have problems operating the clutch I can see the appeal.

Clutch arrived will start the install.

Spot on old git, used them when I was racing and dogs b bit of kit. Think most of the top US riders use them now..
