LH pivot cover
« on: October 10, 2017, 21:26:14 »
Hi everyone,

My left frame protector/pivot cover (part no.43595-27G00) has gone walkies and I’ve ordered a new one. I know this happened to quite a few of you and Greywolf suggested silicon sealant to prevent the part from coming off again; has anyone else used such sealant Andrea if so what kind? At £20 it doesn’t come cheap and I’d rather keep the new one on for as long as I can.

Thank you!

Any silicone sealant will do. I used bathroom sealant as I had some in & it's only a couple of quid from Screwfix for a tube.

Just make it a silicone sealant rather than a caulk that contains silicone or has silicone added. You want nothing but silicone in it. It should remain pliable after it sets, not hard.
