Front exhaust clamp rusted through.

Whilst out yesterday I noticed the front pipe band clamp looked loose. Upon closer inspection I saw it had broken due to rusting through on the underside. I wiggled it loads and eventually it disconnected from the link pipe and came free.

Has this happened to anyone else's wee?

So, do I just leave it as it is now, it is still sealing OK and looks loads better than before.
If replacement is really necessary what have you used?

Happened to mine years ago, I guess that's what happens when you commute all the way through the winter.

Anyway, my bike runs fine without it and the exhaust has never leaked so I'm just going to leave it be.

Same here, use bike all year round and clamp rusted through and fell off about 18 months ago, still sealing and passed MoT so I have done nothing about it.

Ah, do nothing about it seems to be the most attractive plan of action..

Me too. I just popped on a stainless hose clamp off eBay.
