I have the F800 style mirrors on mine with an MRA screen with the deflector on it and I have no problems with buffeting or noise etc. When I bought the bike it had the MRA on it but I was still getting buffeting from the huge non-aero OE mirrors. I ride around with the visor up mostly as there is no wind etc into my face, the screen does a great job of keeping the weather off me too.

This is a link from another V-Strom site that may help address some of your questions on the installation of the Givi Airflow: http://www.stromtrooper.com/maintenance-tech-products/206130-installing-givi-airflow-screen-2012-dl650a.html. There are a few pix as well. I take it that you have looked on the Givi website http://www.givi.ca/en/pb_airflow.php?brand=5&model=85&year=2012 or http://www.givi.ca/en/instructions_vue.php?I'd=10
Thanks for posting this, after reading lots of different posts and looking at You Tube, about various screens. I've just ordered a Givi Airflow screen from Amazon £103 delivered. I was going to do a before and after post on the installation, but having read the links, I couldn't better that at all. I'll just post my thoughts about the screen in the hope that it'll help others to decide if they want to buy one or not.

I have an entirely different bike, no buffering all I can hear now is my engine purring away below me, thank goodness for the Givi Airflow.
Thanks for all replies in this post, a great deal of help to make my mind up. A truly good forum and knowledgeable members. :ty:

Great news. It's fantastic when something works so well that your bike is transformed.
