Falling pound = rising prices.

Give it three months and there will be all kinds of price drops, accessory bundles etc. Ask the poor sods who ordered the 2014 DL1000 for £10,300 (naked bike) at launch, only to see them at £7,300 with luggage a few months later.

Yep as anyone who has followed Suzuki's pricing strategy knows paying full rrp is a mugs game, but I thought for a quid under £10K the 1000XT is keenly priced, however I wouldn't personally pay £10K for a VStrom, from prices I've seen recently the older models both the Veek and Vee have stabilised and are holding their value again, wonder if that stays the same come the new crop in Spring.

To be honest I thought the prices might be highrr the way things are going.  The 650 is inline with its main competitor the versy and the 1000 much cheaper that its competition.
But I'd wait till later in the year, if they do the 777 cash back again they'll be keenly priced, 650 just under 7k and 1000 will be 9k.
I was at the Belfast bike show at the weekend looking for snothrr bike, but for under 10 k there is very little out there that comes near my Veek for what I use it for.  Versy 1000 now 10300k, tiger 1050 10700k only the tracer is at the 9 k mark and while OK there's not the room for two on it like my strom. Was disappointed the new v strom weren't there.

I wonder if the new strom will be in Dublin at the start of next month Porter? it's a much bigger show than Belfast, wonder if there is any way to find out? I'd love to get a look at them.

I've no idea vstroman. Suzuki gb never sent any bikes over to the Belfast show at all, the dealer (gs motorcycles) just had to use his stock. The other Suzuki, ducati dealer wasn't  there! And they wonder why sales are low.

Been trying to find out if the new stroms will be in Dublin but can't get an answer anywhere, you'd think in this information age they'd advertise the bloody thing properly.
