Better doesn't mean higher octane. I means a quality brand with a good detergent additive package. My first Wee had 77,000 miles on it when I sold it and the second owner has it past 126,000 miles. It has never had any fuel or oil additives except fuel stabiliser when in winter storage due to heavy snow and ice. My winters are a bit harsher than yours.
