Dealer mode connector on 2014 V Strom 1000

Morning,

In an earlier post I mentioned my bikes FI light came on during a ride, a very wet ride I hasten to add, and it put itself into limp mode. The fault was rectified by turning the bike off then back on again but I wanted to know what error code was stored in the ECU. Going off advice and photos on this forum I decided to put the bike in dealer mode to read the fault code but can I heck find the dealer connector under my seat. See picture.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Putting your bike in dealer mode will only show active error codes, it won't show stored codes. If you've managed to clear the FI light it won't show anything. Only a main dealer can read stored codes.

You need a Suzuki SDS tool or a HealTech Suzuki OBD tool to read a stored code. If you are worried about it happening again, carry your spare key and a bit of wire or a paper clip with you so you can get under the seat and put the bike in dealer mode if needed. http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,7061.0.html

Your dealer mode coupler is #15 in the picture. Again, you have to have an active FI to read a code from it without a special tool and a computer.
