Flash trigger not working
« on: January 22, 2017, 16:59:16 »
Can anybody help went out today for first time since my stator was replaced by the dealer under the recall letter bike is a 2014 650.
Everything was all OK but when I went to flash another biker out my main beam never flashed just would toggle thorough the functions on the dash.
All other lights are fine high and low beams are OK off the switch just the flash function on the trigger anyone got any help.
Surely it shouldn't have been when replacing the stator or am I just being paranoid because it was working fine before that it's the small things like that that drive me crazy any advice would be much appreciated.

The flash switch is on the Main/Dipped light switch, the normal position for the switch is used, as you found out, to alter the LCD display.  :thumb:

Hahaha, don't know mate, but I was out on mine earlier and at one point the gear indicator went blank and after 2 or 3 miles it came back on again and has worked fine. I laugh because mine had the stator done yesterday and the same thought went through my head too.

When I owned Glee, I hated that "swapped" switch. Simply couldn't go along with it. Thanks God, my Vee2 has it as it's supposed to be.

Going from a Wee to a Glee, I can't tell you how many times I changed my display at somebody to let them know it was safe to enter my lane in front of me.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

An easy mistake to make, not as much of a laugh as Honda swapping the indicator & horn switches around though

I know in a ideal world you think they would at least keep everything on the same sides across all manufacturers regarding the normal functions am still amused at my post though.
