hi I had the same problem I have the vstrom lower seat but after half an hour I was in pain .tried the air cushion it worked till I burst it I eventually bought a seargant seat a bit expensive but well worth it  I can ride allday no problem

I tried the lower seat when I bought my bike and only got a couple of miles down the road before going back and telling them to put the stock seat back on, it was like a plank !  the stock seat on the other hand I can sit on all day and not get uncomfortable.  I have an Airhawk sitting in the garage not being used, I needed that on my BMW R1150rt and that was supposed to be a touring bike with a comfy seat.
