2014 vstrom 1000 chain and sprocket time

I was told last time I went to the garage that I'm due new chain and sprockets. Is it a easy job to do yourself or is it a garage job? And does anyone know which ones are the best to get?

It isn't difficult with a bit of patience and tools to do it. You'll need a chain riveter to join the new chain togethor. Parts are easy to come by - Robinsons Foundary are a good Suzuki source

it's not difficult to do yourself with a grinder, punch and hammer and patience.

I wouldn't cheap out on a job that can hole an engine case or lock up a rear wheel if done badly. Spend a little money on a chain tool and you'll have it for all future work. The rivet ends will flow into the die and neither crack nor fail to spread as they may with a hammer and punch.
