Fitted new spot lamps

I have a Suzuki vstrom 650 I had a set of spot lamps fitted to it. Since I put them on the bike it stopped charging I thought it was the Reg/Rec then the alternator but later discovered it was the stator/Flywheel, could the spot lamps have caused the problem.

what mileage, as mine went at about 20k. dealer said it was all the extras but looking at what others are saying all over the world it is common.

Mine was done under warranty
