front brake pads
« on: November 04, 2016, 09:21:31 »
Hi all. The front pads all almost done on my Veek at 12k. I will replace over the winter,  anyone used anything but the oe pads yet? And if so how do they compare.  Thanks

Not on a Veek but EBC HH are what I use. Very commonly used pads

I swear by BREMBO RED pads. Had them fitted to my last 2 650s. Only complaint is the dust they give off.

@SV1000 Yes Brembo red pads are OK but a bit, soft how do you find them for lasting? I know it depends on how people ride but on average how long?.

I've used ebc, carbon lorraine etc pads on other bikes just wanted to know if anyone had on a Veek.
The standard Suzuki pads are not that dear at £60 a set. I'd like to not damage the disc's if I can help it but I would like more initial bite than the oe pads give. I should point out great as the veeks brakes are I use them with my left thumb so feel is paramount.

I have just change mine, and fitted , EBC Double H Brake Pads - FA379HH, they seem OK, better than the original ones, or it could be that they are new, anyway quite like the feel, cheapest place I could find them was sportsbikeshop.co.uk

I got 13000 mile out of my last set. They are expensive but boy do they stop you.

Once OE pads have worn out I have always used SBS or Bendix pads.

I use hh on my 650 better than the original. Will use them on my  Veek when they need changing.
