Advice on singles ( CCM 450.)
« on: September 12, 2016, 11:20:33 »
Over the years I've really enjoyed DZRS / XTs, just love big singles.  Been looking around for something a bit lighter to push and paddle around when at low speeds and stationary. Occasionally would like to explore dirt roads and lanes (nothing too serious these days  :old:).  But important to be able to travel comfortably for a couple of hours on tarmac. Height not a problem. Have seen a secondhand CCM 450 which would seem to fit the bill nicely. Any experience or observations on the CCM ???

Not tried this one, though they look mint.  My CCM 404  has been brilliant over the last 7 years I've had it. Enduro,  green laning, road trips including 2000 miles for the Stella Alpina.  The 450 looks great, and has had some great write ups.

I've got one (yay!) but haven't been able to ride it yet (medical reasons) so all I can attest to is how great the blokes at CCM were - they modified it for me, designed a centrifugal clutch for it and delivered it to me down here in  Practically France for free.

I've ridden a couple of them. They are a total hoot to ride!!
Old enough to know better, but still too young to care...
