Tuono mirrors
« on: June 30, 2016, 11:39:29 »
Have read several posts about how changing the mirrors to Tuono ones helps with some wind buffeting - can someone post a link to a set that has worked for them as there seems to quite a wide choice available.
Cheers

The above.
Great quality for the money but make no improvement to beffeting for me.

They made a huge difference for me, if you are unsure if they'll help you try taking the mirrors off, go for a good spin, if there is still buffeting then changing the mirrors won't help. I had an MRA screen on my bike which helped anyway but the mirrors were the final piece.

Thanks - I have ordered a set and yes they do look as though they are neater than the stock and at that price its worth a shot - I have an add on screen on the bike but no idea what type it is

MRA flip screen with F800GS mirrors, no buffeting at all before it it was awful with standard mirrors and the MRA; transformed the comfort of the bike as it used to make me feel awful.

I went for the ones from the rocket centre quality is fab, bit more money but came in a day. They do look good and my worries about rear view were unfounded

Great pieces and buffeting all gone

I bought a set of these and now done a couple of thousand miles with them - do help with buffetting and think they look much better - rear view not as good but nothing that bad that I want to change them back

I've added heaps of custom bits to my 2013 DL650 including McCruise control etc .

But the last mod was a good one - adding knock off Tuono mirrors .

Riding feels like a different bike with the Ginormous square mirrors gone , the Tuono's give me the impression of riding a sports bike & the styling improves the bikes looks in my eye .

With all the speed limit safety campaigns with no tolerance levels I thought I'd crack it by fixing a cruise control .
Fitted the Australian motorbike model specific McCruise system .
It works the same as a car - set & forget till needs turning off either by changing gear , pushing a button or applying brakes .
Real easy to install with photographs for each step BUT expensive . Did I say expensive but to me worth it .
Sold my boat so my bike is my new toy / recreation so that's how I justify it .
Love cruise control makes Hiway & long journeys a breeze coz I don't have to keep looking at the speedo to check my speed .
Good for around town too .
Wouldn't have another bike without it now or would get one fitted .
I can still ride the pants off the bike if I choose , but a cruise control is a great safety net if I want a more relaxed ride
