Bar end mirrors on a DL650?

So I've been looking at some different mirrors to replace the pretty ugly stock ones on my Glee. Back when I rode a CBR I had bar end mirrors on it, which I absolutely loved both the aesthetic look and the practicality of them (Good view and unrestricted).

I was wondering if anyone here has had the same idea for their V-Strom? I'm unsure if it would fit the look of the bike and I can't really find any good pictures online. So thoughts on this would be great.

I'm thinking something along the lines of this:

They theoretically shouldn't interfere with the heated grips or the hand guards so fitting should be no problem
