Suzuki/givi top box
« on: June 12, 2016, 11:30:24 »
Hi, I recently swapped my frs for a 2014 DL650 and kept the Suzuki top box. My new wee has a smaller givi box fitted. Both have similar mountings (1 keyetc) but the givi plate won't permit the Suzuki to fit. Any advice, as I am touring with it shortly and need a bit more space for gear. Also advice on cheap saddle bags, whatever for touring luggage.
Thanks.

Givi only do two fitting plates , monokey and monolock and obviously their boxes are the same , not sure why they don't just use one but that's another story .
If your Suzuki box is made by givi it's either one or the other .

Thank you for your help blokes. I have the monolock so no chance of changing boxes. I will strap my old magnetic tank bag to the rear seat and keep packing items minimal (for 10 days). Heres hoping.

I have 2 boxes (a Givi and a Kappa), the Givi uses the plate in the top picture above and the Kappa uses the one in the bottom picture.
The new Kappa plate I ordered for my DL650 does NOT fit the Kappa (even though it says Kappa on it) as it is the one from the top picture.
Worked out OK cos I can just swap the Givi between the two bikes.  :thumb:
