Mirrors
« on: October 25, 2009, 21:01:46 »
Nearside plastic shroud that covers joint at top of mirror arm on my DL1000 has just split and fallen off.
Dealer says cannot buy plastic bit and will have to purchase complete mirror !
Anyone had a like experience or know how to resolve without buying complete mirror.

Exactly the same thing happened to one of my mirrors when I had a DL1000 - it was under warranty but took Suzuki 3 months in the end to replace it.

In the mean time I had gone out and purchased a set of after market mirrors which are far superior - imho - both in quality and view.

When I sold the Strom I kept them - if you are interested in buying them then pm me.

They are a standard thread so I do not see why not. But having never been near a wee I can't guarantee it.

If you are interested send me a pm.

Here you go.

Its been a while but as I recall when I ordered a set I "accidently" ended up with 2 sets - these mirrors are new unused.

They come with blind spot mirrors, sounds great but after a couple washes they fall off so they are best removed and the rearward view only gets better.
