Brake Light
« on: June 06, 2016, 13:54:56 »
Hi
Discovered Saturday night, whilst riding home from work that brake light did not work on front brake, rear working fine.
So suspected the switch, took it off, and no continuity between connectors when little rod pushed in, so hope I am correct. Ordered another one Sunday, so waiting for that to arrive.
Question, is this a common fault, the micro switch packing up ?. Its a sealed unit, so could not even get in to repair/clean.

Clutch switch is usually the one that goes Pete Tong.
But yeah they can go wrong.

Thanks, just in case there was something else I should look at.
Have already done clutch one.
Searching e bay, there was loads of front brake light switches, ranging in price from £1.99 to about £10 !!!!!, so bought a middle priced one, as its only a micro switch, thought that would be safe.
Oh for the days when you could clean the contacts and have a working item again.
