Clutch slave cylinder removal
« on: June 01, 2016, 07:59:30 »
Yesterday I was on hands and knees peering into nooks and crannies of my V2 (as you do). There was a fair amount of crud visible under the chaincase in the vicinity of the front sprocket. I've read the threads about this not being over-super for the clutch pushrod.

To clean this out, I presume the clutch slave cylinder has to be moved out of the way before the chaincase can be unbolted? If so, can I just undo the fasteners and move it aside to gain access and then replace it when done. Or is it a bleeding job, in all senses?

Thanks

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that

I did mine before selling my 06 plate Vee, you can just remove it but you need to put a cable tie or similar around it while you work or the piston will ease itself out. It's a job worth doing, it gets pretty messy in there!
