Centre Stand

2010 Lo DL650 Centre Stand
The Above on my bike is very stiff,I have sprayed all the working parts and springs , But when I take the bike off the centre stand I nearly have to use my hands to get it in the folded position , Any thoughts on this problem Thanks in Advance

I've seen this too. Just clean the pivot points with something like paraffin and a tooth brush. It should then start to pop back up properly.

+1 mine was covered in crud but cleaned today and pops straight back up (I haven't re-lubricated the pivot points yet but it's the smoothest it's been in months)

I put a grease fitting on each side in front and cut a spiral groove around the pivot pin as a grease channel after getting tired of disassembly to clean and lube. I never had to take it apart again.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s
