Veek Overtake was mega impressive
« on: May 13, 2016, 20:14:08 »
Out with my wife on the Veek yesterday on the A6 approx 4 miles Matlock direction of Buxton, fairly steep climb out of the valley on way up to Taddington following smallish line of traffic behind HGV I knew the DL had the grunt for this overtake in these circumstances even two up, I would not have gone for it on any of my other bikes as it would have been marginal but not on the torque master we fairly ripped passed the lot on a steep incline from a fairly low pace to a good lick all in a flash. Of cause at the other end of the scale at silly high speeds my more powerful bike would have the edge but I was mightily impressed. Also high all day cruising speed is easy peasy with this bike as it has such a useable lump of torque for all road use. Daft journos do not know what they are talking about slagging this gem off !

The Veek does have tremendous mid range oomph, once fettled that gets stronger , and they rev more willingly higher up.

I've witnessed a Veek making the sports bikes look a little slow :)
