Which Electrical Connection ?
« on: March 22, 2016, 13:27:36 »
In one of the threads below, there is mention of an electrical connection that appears to corrode in normal use, (they say in front of airbox and behind radiator ) anyone know what the connection is for ?. I have my bike booked in for the top end recall, and was going to ask them to clean and proof this connection at the same time if it's a known problem, thanks Dave

There are a number of connectors pinned behind the radiator top shroud on all models. You didn't mention your model but top end recall would indicate a Glee. Anyway, all should be treated. The connectors from both handlebar switch pods, the fan switch, the power point or heated grip accessories and the ignition switch are all there.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Ideally you need them to do this too:

(Cover all connectors in tubing)
