« on: August 20, 2015, 16:36:38 »
Hi all, I am going to lower the height of my 650 strom by 25mm using lowering bars, can anyone surgest or recommend our much I should lower the front forks to compensate for lowering the rear. Many thanks Mick

Wees and Vees work best with the front lowered more than the rear due to aerodynamics, mainly due to the unpainted black plastic ramp under the headlights. Unfortunately, the rear can be safely lowered more than the front. The limits are about 28mm on the rear and about 21mm on the front before parts start crashing together. ABS Wees with fork braces can start hitting the brace on the ABS plumbing closer to 10mm. You would do best by lowering the front to those limits. Still, avoid very high speeds. The faster you go, the more the front wheel will effectively lighten up.

Lowered mine with 150mm  links and dropped the forks 18mm.  Very effective, tested stability "at speed" no issues.

GW, what is the limit for lowering a glee with fork brace at the front?
Reason is, I dropped my front about 12mm & now have a fork brace, positioned as low as possible.

The Glee doesn't have a brake junction box under the front triple clamp. I had mine lowered 19mm with no problem.
