Replacing Givi Trekker lock
« on: June 12, 2015, 13:10:07 »
I have the V-Strom adventure with panniers that can be used with the ignition key.

Just added a 52L Givi Trekker top box

Would like to use the same key with all 3 boxes, Suzuki supplied a spare barrel for use with a top box when I bought the bike.

Before I start taking apart my brand new top box only to find it won't fit has anyone managed to swap the Givi lock for the Suzuki one?

Chz

Hope its simple, I'd like to do the same.
I've been asked why I have 3 bikes, well that's because I'm not allowed any more.

Not done that but if you succeed I'd like to buy the Givi lock off you - I've lost a key and am now paranoid I'll lose the other one too

Couldn't you just get a key cut?

Tried once and it was a dismal failure - saw this and thought 'that will be easier' lol
