Red insulation tape?

Hi,

I noticed some red insulation tape today on the right hand side looking down towards the forks past the ignition close to the the headlight wiring loom...is this put here by Suzuki? If so, does anyone know what it is for?  :shrug:

There is no aftermaket alarm/power socket on the bike.

If only I could attach a pic....
