Ratmobile Mk3?
« on: March 12, 2015, 14:32:31 »
I'm ready to be blackballed from the world of Vanping but........

I have now started a Van collection  :shy:  I still have the Ratmobile Mk2 but I have also added a Mk3, this one goes against the rufty tufty Vanping image (if there ever was one), this one has one or two more basic comforts  :)

As I said, a few basic comforts, nothing more  :vanping:

I need to find a bike 170kg or less that I can hang off of the back.

Where does the bike (is any one of your collection under 170kg) go then?

I had a Gilera 180 Runner that was about 115Kg & 21hp, great two up for shorter journeys & folk I knew did do longer 1000+ mile trips solo. Would hit over 80mph and the lovely smell of 2-stroke....

If speed's not important then a VanVan would be good.

I've just tracked down Rat Mobile #4, to save you the effort  :)

Garages and Stables are around the back apparently.

Looks great Rat  :thumb:  . Drive to Spain for a week with the KTM then over to Morocco for another week.
I plan to get one in about 7 years time when I can afford one and spend less time working, roam around Europe with a small bike on the back :)

Little Honda MSX 125?

Also seen a couple converted for light off-roading.

That's positively luxurious, I could permanently live in that! Stick the Katoom on the back and you have the perfect off road weekend setup.

Scooter Rack was fitted a few weeks ago, because of the make up of the chassis and the overhang the maximum weight bike I could carry (for nipping to the pub/shops etc) is 150Kg.

I found one of these;

171cc of raw twist and go power
