Ripped seat
« on: September 07, 2014, 07:32:39 »
Hi,I have somehow managed to rip a bit of my seat off on my 2002 DL1000,can anyone point me in the direction for either a new seat or some sort of cover, thank you, don,t  want to leave it as small as it is because it will only get worse.

Get a used one from ebay or send it off to Tony Archer, both will be about the same, the latter will come back more comfortable.

Or check for leather upholsterers or people that repair rag tops on cars, they often recover motorcycle seats as a side line.
Now on a Super Tenere having put 64k miles on a 2011 DL650

Nice job!   :thumb:

I thought it just went over the old cover though? Looks like you decided to take the old one off?

Yes that's what I was going to do but I thought it would be better taking the old one off, after all it is only staples that keep it altogether and there was a lot of staples on the old one so to keep it neat I cleared the lot out.
