HO2 sensor for 2004 DL650 wee
« on: August 15, 2014, 14:18:46 »
Anybody happen to have one lying around that they are no longer using as mine appears to have packed in code C44 and not getting the correct voltage at connector or should I be checking anything else. Or has anyone had to buy one of late, where did you get it and how much did it cost. I have seen eliminators but they seem to be for 2007 on and not sure if they are just cheap resistors to get a voltage drop or actual a proper pwm circuit which I think is what you could use.

AFAIK the the eliminators is simply a resistor, but I don't know which value it has to be (don't quote me on that without confirming it elsewhere.) You should be able to find the info on one of the various V-Strom sites. It might not be such a good idea to eliminate the O2 sensors, but then again, if the bike is working fine without it at the moment then you could say it's not all that important either. US model bikes don't all have them either (at least not on the old Vees.)

Yeah I'm not interested in an eliminator, would rather have it as I assume right or wrong that the map on the ecu is written to support it. Looks like its a call to the local dealers as I can't find one listed for sale anywhere online.

I've sent the bloke with this auction, 321493359151, on eBay a message to ask if he has a sensor. If he doesn't have it and the sensor is very expensive from a dealer then this might be an option:

You could ask if they'd just sell you the sensor. They can always update the current listing to say the sensor isn't included if they sell it to you.
