New Strom
« on: August 11, 2014, 18:35:55 »
Had a three hour test ride today on the new DL1000. It's a cracking bike, loads of grunt straight off the bottom and plenty fast enough for me, did,nt notice any low speed lurching, in fact it's very close to the 650 in smoothness. Anyway I realise I'm preaching to the converted here so I'll close by saying it was so good I bought one, in black, pre reg done 2 miles £7.999 on the road. That's an awful lot of bike for that price. :)

Christ. That is a good price. Get some pictures up and some miles put on it. Enjoy

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Mr Rat said £7999 around 9 months ago. Don't tell him he was right.

Ali if you want a picture it would be quicker for me to draw it than try and upload one, do I need to remind you of the Sat Nav debacle in June ? :)

Welcome. Another one to help convert the non-believers..

(I'll have a set of new crash (accessory) bars, hand guards and (maybe) the under-cowling for sale soon, in case you're interested.)

No, I bought some alternative crash bars a few weeks ago, already have hand guards and not sure I personally like the cowling - still umming and ahhing about that one. They're all brand new and still wrapped but I'm probably going on holiday next week sometime so might not have time to ship them etc.

The crash bars are definitely better than the OEM ones I had on my DL650.
