MTC Exhausts
« on: August 05, 2014, 10:36:40 »
MTC Exhausts (mtcexhausts.co.uk) have made contact and would like to offer the following..

Pay attention, free stuff coming....

1. If an owner of the older model DL650 would drop their bike off for half a day so MTC can develop an exhaust then the owner would get a free can

2. Same offer for an owner of the new DL1000

Please contact Martin  sales@mtcexhausts.co.uk  and make sure you tell him you are responding to the request via this site.

I've sent him a message offering the services of my bike. Let's see what comes back... :)

Is there a difference in exhausts between my wife's 2005 bike and my 2010?

IIRC the 2005 has one spark plug per cylinder and no catalytic converter. From 2007 they changed to two plugs per cylinder and fitted a catalyst.

Edit: not sure if spark plug placement alters the design of the manifold, they may be the same, but the later bikes do have a catalyst.

Yes there is a differance from from year to year for the wee.
K4-6 an exhast that can be cut and a small link pipe and end can can be fitted.
K7-11 and all glee years has an exhaust that cotains a large cat converter thay stopps you cutting the pipes and fitting link pipe and end can. You can hover buy a 3/4 system that uses the stock header pipes r a full system that gi es you new headers. Some of these full or 3/4 systems interfere with the fitting of a ceterstand and/or certain bash plates.

I also had an email but despite offering either (or both) of our bikes I have not had any further response...

Has anyone else?

Just had the can made and fitted today by Martin, top work by a top lad. Would love to add a photo but I don't know how :)
If you think you can, or you think you can't, either way; you're right.

Are they planning on updating their website?  Shows nothing under Suzuki tab?

Would really like a bit more burble from my 650 Wee.  :bawl:

It's misspelt on their website - look for DL650 V-st0rm  ( use an 'o' not a zero - flipping autocorrect)
