I was a big fan of the Anakee 2's and the 3's are supposed to be better, so it's win/win as far as I can see.

I've now got approximately 750 miles on my Anakee 3's now and I am pleased to say they are much better than the original Bridgestones. Turn in is sharper, cornering grip is way up and they seem to be less bothered by gravel and assorted road debris. I now seem to be grinding various parts of the bike away while cornering, very happy  :)

After finding a nail in my back tyre at the weekend & reading all the positivity in this thread I got some Anakee 3 shaped shoes on my glee today,

Mostly scrubbed in after an enjoyable evening, they feel great, much more eager to lean into & especially out of corners than the trailwings that the PO has squared off.

My Tourances are coming to the end of their time. All in all I've been very happy with them. However, my local motorcycle tyre dealer tells me that Annakee 3s will 'transform' the ride and feel of my bike. All my miles are done on the road and often with a pillion. Can anyone confirm that the Annakees would be a better bet?

I think Dunlop Roadsmart 2 are probably the best value road only tyres that offer great grip. The Anakee 3s are good, so are Pilot Road 3s, the jury is out for me on the Pilot Road 4s as I think the trail version doesn't last long enough.
Now on a Super Tenere having put 64k miles on a 2011 DL650

Got A3's on my Vee. I've not got much biking experience but as far as I'm concerned they have transformed the bike. A lot smoother ride less vibration and less wandering in the corners.

I've had Trailwings, Anakee 2's and 3's and not noticed any step change in handling, though the Anakees seem to have lasted longer than the Trailwings, and even when squared off, it seemed less noticeable.

Got German Tourance Next's on the bike now, and initial impressions suggest that they seem to be as neutral as the Anakees.

Try the Anakee 3, they never seem to get bad reviews. Why stick to an old tyre design if people are liking Anakee 3 so much and it's much newer tech tyre?

Had Anakee 3 on for about 1000 miles (original trailwings before) and big improvement in the dry and good in the wet, worth the money to have them fitted.
