Same problem with mine, registered 1stMarch 2014.

Instruments full of condensation and speedo giving wild readings - it's only done 300 miles! :angry-tappingfoot:

Wonder if it's a bad batch of speedometers? Used mine daily all year round for 18 months & no problems yet [I'll have jinxed it now]

Mine's OK, I rode it all day through rain during the Welsh National Rally, always a good event to test your new waterproofs.

I'd be very interested if you could tell us exactly where the dealer applied the sealant on the new unit though.

Tricky to explain without pictures, but the loom plug goes into an opening in the back of the clocks but when fitted there remains a perimeter gap which would give access to water. It's a poor design which should have some sort of rubber boot.

Mine has a rubber boot. I wonder if some wiring harnesses came out of the factory without one. It's visible on the fiche at http://www.mrcycles.com/oemparts/a/suz/ ... 650al2-e33 a bit to the left and above the number 7.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.

hi blokes , just  an update had the speedo cases replaced under warranty on sat and while the bloke was doing the service as well had a look at the old unit and it looks like the clean plastic  has a anti mist  coating applied and it looks like too much applied and has run lines so when it gets a little damp in there you think its wet but its not
that's my theory anyway alls good now so happy days the dealer has been fantastic and Suzuki have as well
cheers Jason

Glad its sorted for you :) Did you make arrangements to accommodate new (zero) mileage?

Mine definitely had water in them though as it caused problems with electronic display.
