Vee upgrades

I will be collecting my 2007 Vee next week ( subject to passing my mod 2 ).
If you had a top 5 of mods for a standard bike what would they be?

Not in any particular order:-
   1. Lower the gearing by fitting either a 43T rear or 16T front sprockets.
   2. Front mudguard extender and rear hugger- helps to keep more crud of the engine, rear of bike and shock.
   3. Fit a fork brace.
   4. Put a couple of tap washers with longer screws under the bottom mounts of the screen to increase it's
       rake. Helps reduce wind buffeting.
   5. Drop the fork triple clamps by about 20-25mm down the fork stancions. Makes the bike turn quicker.

I'm sure you'll get lots more alternatives in addition....

Can I ask on the back of this, is a fork brace recommended for the glee (L3)? Or has the issue been solved on the newer model?

1) Fork Brace.
2) Aprilla Mirrors and/or new screen to reduce buffeting.
3) Seat options and/or footpeg kits, to suit your height.
4) Aux Fuse box with switched and unswitched supplies.
5) Heated grips, run from the Aux Fuse Box

... and seeing as you are asking specifically for a Vee, fix the clutch chudder.

Yes, I decided to put it on mine (L2) and it did huge difference.
There's a lot of posts on this forum about brace and ton of them are about Glee.

1. Tall touring seat
2. Front mudguard extender
3. MRA tall touring screen
4. + 25mm jack up links
5. Anakee 3 tyres.

Obviously if you are a bit on the short side 1 & 4 will be of little use.

All of the above but also sort the front brakes , they are rubbish , especially if you are loaded up or two up . This is probably one of the most expensive mods but we'll worth the spend in my view .. .

In no particular order:
Yoshi tune to sort out lower RPM fuelling issues
Mudguard extender
Aftermarket exhausts
Brake hose (and possibly pads) upgrade
Better springs front and rear

Why's a chain oiler not been mentioned

1. Buy fuel and ride the bike
2. Decide what you need to change after you've ridden it.
3. If you are still unsure ask here or repeat point one.
4. learn to look after it, oil level, tyre pressures etc
5. Fit a chain oiler
