No I have not, but I have been sufficiently impressed by some good reviews and some anecdotal accounts of their use in operation I have some ready for my BM K1200 RS.

I will let you know what I think in due course.

I had an avon storm on my k8 vee when I bought it, had no problems with it at all and going by the paper work I got it had done over 10000 miles. so when it came to replacing it I got the avon storm 2, again no handling problems but seems to have squared off after 7000 miles, although to be honest most of them have been 2 up and I'm no skinny minny (not yet anyway)

Avon storm ultra is a favourite of the deauville owners. Rated highly there. But I've never used them.

I'm a little wary of the Avon tyres (specifically, storm ultra 2)

Now had chance to run the Storm 3D XM on my BM RS, dry grip handling and braking superb, perhaps better than my previous set of Z8's. Time will tell and also no experience in wet yet. At moment sufficiently impressed to put some on the Glee next time tyres are required. Oh and they are british as well !
