I suppose that's what they are called. Anyway, they tend to drop off. I was at a dealer collecting a new one and he said use bath sealant to hold it in place so they don't fall off so easily. Might be worth trying!

Good tip... thanks.
I keep catching my Sidi boots (which zip up the inside) on them. My waterproof Alpinestars are not a problem (they zip on the outside)
