It really puzzles me that Suzuki could even think of charging over 10k or even 9k for the new 1000, has anyone seen the new Yamaha MT-09, cracking bike, brand new triple engine and very well priced at £6799, after riding the versy 1000 I really wanted to get a bigger bike, but there is no way I'd pay that for a Suzuki, J&S have got a pre-reg caponord for under 10k, will wait and see but it's not looking like I'll be staying with Suzuki for my next bike!

The Versys 1000 is £9.6k, is similar spec, similar quality, so I have no doubt the DL1000 will be a similar price and sell in similar numbers.

Just had a look at versy's on eBay, brand new under 9k, or with full givi trekker set, tank lock and crash bars for 9.5k. Suzuki need to do their homework!

Look on Kawasaki's web site you will see rrp is £9.6k. What you can get it discounted from a dealer is another matter, and it will be the same for the DL1000, if you want one in the first 3 months or so you will be paying top whack, after that it will be available discounted, either with a Suzuki cash back offer or with haggling through the dealer.

I bought my Versys 1000 for £8900 2 months after it was launched. I really love the bike and the price. I have been waiting for the big DL but would not pay more than £9k

That's right....I was offered a new Versys loaded with panniers for just £8600 by a local dealer the other day...The Vee will have to be around £9k to sell well.
